The Nevada girls track team had eight people qualify for state this year. The Cubs sent one shot putter, one 1500 runner, four girls to run the distance medley, and four girls for the 4×100 meter relay.

Addi Vorm placed 18th in the shot put with a throw of 34-03.25. Kacie Rewerts placed 21st in the 1500 with a time of 5:11.09.

The distance medley team of Caitlyn Sharp, Sydney Mosinski, Hannah Thomsen, and Kacie Rewerts placed 15th with a time of 4:25.96, and the 4×100 team of Samara Sharp, Caitlyn Sharp, Emily Plate, and Hannah Thomsen placed 23rd overall but was disqualified with a time of 52.75.

Coach Ted Johnson said, “Overall I couldn’t be happier with the good group of girls who quailed for the state meet.  You always want to perform your best at the meet and each qualifier was right there around their best time.”

The girls have finished their season. They are looking forward to next season and improving their abilities on the track.
