On Monday, May 6, the nevada girls varsity golf team played at the Ames Golf and Country Club. Nevada placed third out of five teams

Gilbert came in first with a 188, Roland story came in second with a 192, Nevada was third with a 194, South Hamilton was fourth with a 203 and Woodward-Granger was fifth with 228.

For individual golfers, Emma Griffin was the medalist of the meet with a 40. Ashlyn Sporrer had a 50. Kelby Rewerts had a 51. Bianca Sponseller had a 53. Caroline Ausman had a 59, and Grace Cahill had a 60

Coach Mike Lawler said, “A cold, rain-soaked meet made for tough playing conditions again. It was nice to see Emma persevere with her to tie her personal best and be the top medalist out of five teams.”

The girls varsity golf team has finished their season except for Emma Griffin who is golfing at state golf in Ankeny on Tuesday and Wednesday, May 28 and 29.
