On Friday, December 7th, the Nevada 9th grade boys basketball played South Hamilton at home. Nevada beat them 51-49.

Nevada had a tough team to beat, but they held up strong at the very end to win the game. Nevada is also on a five-game winning streak with a perfect record of 5-0.

James Edwards made a lot of layups and steals. Colin Memmer made three 3’s, and one of them was to take the lead near the end. Connor Schnettgoecke had a good night with rebounds and facing a tall opponent.

The three players that had the leading scores were Schnettgoecke with 12, Edwards with eight points, and Ty Dittmer and Memmer both with seven points.

“We needed to work on moving our feet on defense,” said 9th grade player Gavin Melohn. “We also need to help the helper on defense.”
