12.07 Varsity Boys Basketball vs South Hamilton

On Friday, December 7, the Cubs of Nevada played the South-Hamilton Hawks. The Cubs fell short of the Hawks, with a final score of 53-84. Their season record is now 3-2.

The Cubs started out slow, only scoring four points in the first quarter while the Hawks scored 21. After getting into the game, the Cubs scored 17 in the second quarter and the Hawks scored 18 making the score at half 21-39.

After the half, the Hawks came out strong, scoring 31 points in the third while the Cubs scored 15. And in the fourth to finish the game, Nevada outscored the Hawks 17-14 but still fell short.

Some key players to the Cubs’ performance include junior Tyler Sansgaard who scored 13 points and junior Kody Kruschwitz who scored 10 points on the night. Some other key players include Brayden Bottorf with nine points, Jack Cahill and Devin See with eight.

Senior Devin See led the Cubs with seven assists. Ayden Rhodes and Tyler Sansgaard had three assists.

The Cubs will play PCM at home on Friday, December 14.
