On Monday, December 3, the varsity girls basketball team traveled to Iowa Falls-Alden and fell to the Cadets, 19-62.

The Cubs got off to a slow start and never really got themselves into the game. They struggled to get the ball in the hoop, scoring a season-low 19 points. The Cubs also struggled slightly on the defensive side.

Senior Riley Mailey led the team in points with 11. Junior Kacie Rewerts led the team with six rebounds on the night.

“The girls never stopped fighting, which was the takeaway for the night,” said Head Coach Jordan Bentley. “I tip my hat to Iowa-Falls Alden, they shot the ball extremely well.”

The Cubs are 2-5 on the season. They travel to North Polk to take on the Comets on Tuesday, December 11.
