On September 27, the Cubs took on Gilbert at Cub Stadium.
This was the first time the eighth grade boys played at Cub Stadium, and they were very excited going into the game.
The Cubs kept it close with their tough defense in the first two quarters. The offense made some big plays and had some key runs, but couldn’t finish the drives. As the game progressed, so did the scoring. Late in the fourth quarter the Tigers drove down and scored putting them up by ten to finish the night. The Cubs put up a fight, but fell 26-16.
The Cubs play Roland-Story on October 4 at Cub Stadium.
