On Tuesday, September 25, the varsity volleyball girls traveled to North Polk and won a heart pumping match with game scores of 15-21, 25-21, 25-21, and 25-12.

During game one the girls had a tough time getting into their rhythm with tough ball control and hitting errors. The North Polk girls jumped ahead with two big scoring drives which Nevada could not keep up with.

In the second game the Cubs were down 10-16 and Ellie Gray stepped in to serve. Ellie got the Cubs to 14-16, North Polk rallied and got back to 15-20. Morgan Tupper stepped in to serve and rallied the Cubs back to 21-20. Kacie Rewerts had a big hit and the Cubs went on to take the game 25-21.

The third game was another back-and-forth game. Hannah Thompson had a kill to tie the Cubs and Comets 21-21. Amanda Fortmann served the rest of the game and the Cubs won 25-21.

The fourth game the Cubs demolished the Comets. When the game was tied 7-7 Amanda Fortmann served the Cubs to 12-7. After Amanda served, Morgan Tupper served eight points. The Cubs had a great game with five blocks, 10 kills, 15 digs, and serving 96% from the line.

Over all, the Cubs had a great night for serving with Kacie Rewerts and Ellie Gray serving perfect. As a team they were amazing with 42 kills, 70 digs, 16 blocks, and seven aces.
