On Monday, September 17, the 8th grade, Nevada Cubs volleyball team played Gilbert here at Nevada. They did very well. The A team lost the first game, and won the rest. They have two teams so the B team won every game and A team won two of the three games.

Some A team players had a phenomenal night! Emma DePenning served really well, and Lily Goos had great digs in every set. Every set was a close score. The first set was 21-18 Gilbert. The second set was 21-17 Nevada, and the third set was 21-19. Nevada played very well all night!

Nevada’s B team also had an amazing night. Chloe Peterson had great digs, Melisa Garcia showed her best when serving, and Josie Kelly had great setting!

Overall the A and B teams did very well, considering this was a home game and the pressure was on!

The Cubs play again Monday, October 1 at Gilbert.
