For boys, Rhett Harter finished first for Nevada and fourth overall, Owen Freeman finished sixth overall, and Zach Devino finished ninth. The boys team had nine runners finish in the top twenty, earning them a spot in second for team placing.

The girls team ran exceptional as well. As a team, the girls finished in second. For individual placings, Nevada had Tori Meinecke finishing in second place, Allie Kruzich in eighth, and Cece Scarff in 14th.

Coach Sarah Gilchrist said, “We’ve tasted success in our first two meets, finishing first at Pleasantville and second at Story City. We need to make sure we keep working hard, take care of ourselves, and stay fresh during the next week.”

The team is hopeful for another successful run at their next meet in Ames on September 27th.
