On Saturday, May 5th, the girls varsity soccer played Dallas Center – Grimes in Grimes. The girls fell behind in the first half and were never able to gain the goal they had lost. The score was 1-0 with DCG winning.

“The game against DCG was a good game to see where we are at. DCG is ranked in 2A and has a solid team,” Head Coach Randy Davis said.

After falling behind in the first half, the team made some adjustments and changed formation to make a better game of it in the second half. The girls had several opportunities to tie the score but just couldn’t capitalize.

“Hopefully we will learn from our mistakes and get better, now, having had this experience,” commented Coach Davis.

The Cubs face Clear Lake at SCORE on Thursday, May 10th.
