Sam Hoover is one of the varsity boys soccer coaches. He has been a head coach for five years and an assistant for five. Besides coaching, he also works as an electrician.
Coach Hoover played soccer and basketball at Nevada and went on to Simpson College to play soccer. He decided to coach because he loves soccer and this allows him to be able to still be involved. He also wanted to give back to the community.
Coach Hoover believed that athletics prepare a person for a long and successful life. He provides the players with opportunities to grow in communication, leadership, and accountability.
His goals for the season are to have each athlete improve individually, for the team to improve from the first practice to the last game, and to finish the season feeling accomplished.
