3.05 Girls Track @ UNI

On Monday, March 5, the girls track team went to UNI to have their first track meet. Overall the girls did well. Coach Johnson was very happy with how everything went.

In the 60 meter dash, Emily Plate ran a time of 8.88, Lesly Abarca ran 9.66, and Rebecca Harwell got a time of 9.79.

The girls also did well on shot put. Lexy Koudelka threw 9.58m, Addi Vorm threw 9.34m, and Morgan Tupper threw 7.21m.

Girls long jump: Madeleine Humpal-Pash jumped 3.68m, and JayLyn Schakel jumped 3.4m

Gabby Sampson, Ryanne Barker, Grace Heiden, and Meredith Harter were part of the 4×800. Their final time was 11:42.76.

Caitlyn Sharp, Sam Sharp, Emily Plate, and Sydney Mosinski were part of the 4×200. The final time was 1:59.65.

In the 60 meter hurdles, Sam Sharp had a time 11.91, Mady Farmer had 11.95, and Madeleine Humpal-Pash had 13.45.

Kacie Rewerts ran the 3000 meter run. Her time was 11:09.16 and ended up getting fifth place. She also ran the 1500 and got a time of 5:15.65.

In the 400 meter dash Avery Mather got 1:11.37, Amelea Jones had a time of 1:12.24, and Madison Davis had 1:13.63.

Coach Johnson was impressed with times, jumps and throws compared to last year.  “I’m excited to see what they will do by the middle of the season and how many we can qualify for state,” said Coach Johnson.
