The 8th grade boys’ basketball team played Greene County at Jefferson on Thursday, January 18. The boys played hard and came out with a win, 58-25.

The Cubs were ahead at halftime with a score of 36-7. This was made possible because the boys were coachable throughout the whole game.

Co-Coach Brook Thompson said, “During the first game, the boys ran the floor well and were efficient in transition as well as capitalizing from the free-throw line.”

During the second game, Coach Thompson said he was impressed with the boys ability to adjust to playing in many positions.

Connor Schnettgoecke led the A team with 12 points, followed by Caeden da Silva with 10, and James Edwards with eight. The boys were aggressive and went to the freethrow line quite a bit. They made six out of nine free throws.

Before the next game, Coach Thompsen is looking forward to working on the team’s ball screens and rebounding.
