On Tuesday, October 3rd, the JV volleyball team played against the Roland Story Norsemen. The Cubs lost the first game, but came back and won 2. Coach Neuman commented on how well the Cubs did a nice job of adjusting and fighting back to win the game. "Bailey is getting more aggressive at the net and hitting quicks better. It's great to see that coming along."
She also said, "Kaitlyn Cook stepped in and had some great defense for us in the back row." The girls did a nice job of working as a team in order to get the job done. The Cubs next match is against Gilbert on October 5.
On Thursday, October 5th, the Cubs JV went up against the Gilbert Tigers. The girls won their first match, lost the second, and rallied in set three to win the match.
Coach Catherine Neuman wasn't able to coach, so the varsity coach Lori Stephenson helped out. Coach Stephenson said, "It was really fun to coach the JV girls Thursday night. The girls did a really nice job keeping their composure and playing through adversity after their loss in set 2." Coach Stephenson also added, "They served well and had good ball control in the third set. It really made a difference." The Cubs take on their next opponent Tuesday, October 10 at home against Saydel.
