The 8th grade Nevada Cub football team ended their season with a game against Saydel last week. They ended up shutting them out 52-0. The offense executed very well at every position and that’s why they put up so many points. The team didn’t tackle very well though according to Coach Baethke. If there was another game left in the season Coach Baethke would try to improve more on tackling fundamentals.

Overall the team had an amazing season, outscoring their opponents 243-6. The team will have to wait to play more until next year where they will be playing at the freshman level. Some things they will need to do to get prepared for next year are getting faster and getting stronger by getting in the weight room. They have great potential, and they hope to use it when they get to play at a higher level next year.
