Coaching Profiles: 7th/8th Grade Football
Karl Corbin is the 7th grade head coach for Nevada football. He has been coaching for a total of 35 years, 30 of them coaching football. He has also coached 7th and 8th grade track. He played football in middle school and high school. He decided to become a coach because of his love for kids and the way he loves helping them learn new things. Whenever he teaches a kid something new he feels young again. One of his biggest strengths is the way he talks to kids to get them to give their absolute best effort.
Brook Thompson is the other 7th grade coach for Nevada football. Brook hasn’t had any coaching experience until now but he played football and basketball in high school. He also went to Simpson and played basketball for them. Brook is really excited for this season because he believes if they can take big strides in improving in practice, they could be a really good team.
Greg Baethke is the 8th grade head coach for Nevada football. He has coached football for 21 years; 15 years at Spencer, four years in Illinois, and the last two years at Nevada. He played football in middle school and high school. He chose to coach football because he enjoys being around kids, he played a lot of sports, and enjoys them in general.
