On April 26 the Nevada varsity girls soccer team played Pella and won the game 1-0. The game went into a shootout and Nevada came away with a narrow 3-2 victory in the shootout.

“It was a great defensive effort against the #4 team in 2A to keep them scoreless,” said Coach Randy Davis.

Megan Wessels stepped up big defensively when Haley Miller left the game with an injury. Aubrey Gibson also adjusted her game and shut down one of the top forwards in the state from Pella. Abbie Lindsey, Hannah Thomsen and Hattie Rhodes all scored for Nevada in the shootout. Grace Francis also did well stopping three attempts.
