On Tuesday, April 10, the Nevada girls track team competed at Norwalk.

The girls did a really good job overall. We didn’t have our full squad, but we improved all of our times,” said Coach Ted Johnson.

Some highlights included Samara Sharp winning the open 100 with a time of 14.09, the sprint medley relay got second with a time of 2:00.08, and the 4×200 got third with a time of 1:55.73.

Sydney Mosinski got second in the 200 with a time of 29.46 and Caitlyn Sharp got 5th with a time of 29.50.

Avery Mather got fifth in the 400 Hurdles with a time of 1:20.26.  Bailey Crain had a personal best in the discus with a throw of 94-04 and placed fourth

The 4×100 had a personal best of 54.37 and placed fourth.  The sprint med, 4×100, and 4×200 all had personal bests and had the same four people:  Samara Sharp, Caitlyn Sharp, Emily Plate, and Sydney Mosinski.

“Overall, I thought the girls did a great job and I was happy on the way we warm-up for events and were mentally prepared.  We need to work on some handoffs but our speed is getting faster and faster at every event and that is key that we haven’t reached our peak yet,” said Coach Johnson.
