The Varsity Girls’ basketball team played PCM in Monroe on Tuesday, January 23. The girls played hard and came out with a win, 56-41.

Due to injuries in previous games, the girls had a completely new lineup, so many girls had to step up into new positions.

Addi Vorm was the leading scorer with 21 points, followed by Riley Mailey and Grace Francis each with nine. Hattie Rhodes had a nice game with eight points, nine rebounds, and five assists. Kacie Rewerts added seven points. Amelea Jones contributed to the team with five rebounds in the fourth quarter.

Head Coach Tony Neubauer said, “All in all, it was a total team win.”

He says going into the next few games, the girls need to keep working on rebounding and taking care of the basketball.

The Cubs face Roland Story Norsemen, Friday, January 26, at Roland Story.
